Kelly Wearstler Resort

Kelly Wearstler's debut clothing line is amazing. It's not usually a natural progression for an interior decorator to foray into apparel. Yet Ms. Wearstler's line is dead on, in my opinion. See for yourself...

2)Serpent Scarf in Charcoal, Deco Scarf in Bay Blue

Fall Obsession...Ankle Boots

I know, I know...there's plenty of summer left. But I can't help myself; I am tempted by fall's amazing accessories. In particular, ankle boots. With trim trousers or skinny jeans, or better yet, pair with a maxi skirt.

Men's Style

I LOVE this photo of Mick Jagger. What style...and sex appeal. This is how a man should dress.

O'Shields-Ricker

I love the simplicity and ruff hewn details of these hand crafted O'Shields-Ricker bags.
Currently in the works; a paired down, minimal version. Inspired by the works of Axel Vervoordt and the concept of wabi-sabi: the beauty found in objects that are humble and unassuming. Available this Fall.

Style Dossier Photos/Eli Warren/Shantel Lowe

I always strongly dislike pics of myself....until now. In desperate need of  photos of myself for press, my website and my growing business, it was time to turn to the experts. I picked up my iphone and swiftly called Eli Warren and Shantel Lowe.
Eli  Warren and Julie Roszkowski were undeniably the visionaries behind this photoshoot. I contributed  only a very vague idea of what I wanted. From there, they took it and ran. A borrowed house, a blue chair on loan and some accessories, a few magazines and a steaming cappucino. It all came together beautifully. And most importantly, they made it SO easy....
Shantel Lowe, what can I say...she truly is an artist. I completely (literally and figuratively) put my face in her hands. I look like myself, only much, much...much better.

Sunnies

It's all about vintage sunnies this season...various styles and many shapes. I love them all! Especially the Elizabeth and James "Fairfax".

Keep it Simple

Having been in the midst of many closet revamps with my clients over the past couple weeks, I've realized something very important. Many times, it's NOT about getting the lastest thing, the "must-have" of the season
(I actually hate that phrase.Considering that more often than not, this season's "must-have" is usually the first to go to the consignment store next season). What is most important is building a good base of basics.
We are magpies; attracted to that shiny object, whether it be the new silk Vanessa Bruno top or the citrus yellow Christian Louboutin platforms.
The next time your are tempted to buy that pretty little blouse, ask yourself, "Is this really what I need?"
More than likely what you need is a great white jacket or simply a pair of denim shorts to take your closet to the next level. A fresh white tank top can do wonders for the ho-hum mid length skirt from last season. The key is to maximize what you already have.
